NESS Cares Celebrates Selection as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary

The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support intending to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
NESS Cares was selected as the beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located in these participating locations (see below).
“It’s more important than ever to help reduce single-use plastic in the environment,” said Desirie Sykes, Founder of NESS Cares. “Non-profits at the local level, like us, need community support. This program offers the perfect solution to multiple issues of the world today. We hope you’ll support us in these coming months by purchasing one – or two! –Community Bags at our local Stop and Shop!”
NESS Cares is a nonprofit founded in 2020. NESS Cares provides resources to the mental health and special education community.
FAQS
How to participate? NESS Cares will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during this month.
What are the bags made of, and where are they made? The bags are made from 95% recycled materials from either non-woven or woven Polypropylene. They are manufactured in China and Vietnam in factories that follow the strictest guidelines for employment and production standards.
