Desirie Sykes is the founder and president of NESS Cares, Inc and NESS Behavior Consulting. Her mission is to provide resources to the mental health and special education community. To do this, she founded the NESS Cares platform in 2020, in an effort to empower people who struggle with behavioral health needs and families who simply need more resources and are unable to obtain them, especially during a global pandemic; COVID-19.

During the pandemic, the mental health and special education rate of needs increased, dramatically. The pandemic highlighted several issues in our community, like poverty and the lack of resources. Although these barriers have always been in place, It was finally being seen.

Personally, Desirie, struggled for many years  finding her own "mental fitness". This, combined with her background in special education, inspired her to leave a legacy bigger than herself; NESS CARES.
